The contest will run during the month of October, starting on October 2nd and ending on October 19th. Contest winners will be announced at the Stratford Fighting Irish Game Day Opener located at the Allman Arena on Saturday, October 21st.
The contest is open to all hockey players residing in Stratford, regardless of age or skill level.
Please fill out the registration form below. The registration form will require contestants to provide their name, contact information, which team the player plays for, and a brief explanation of why they believe their hockey bag is the smelliest in Stratford.
At the time of registration, all participants must make an appointment for their initial smell test, which will be located at Shop Stratford/Town Crier Marketing on 125 Downie Street, Stratford.
Contestants will also need to include a clear photograph of their hockey bag and its contents.
Smell Intensity: A panel of judges will evaluate the entries based on the intensity of the smell emitted from the hockey bags. The stronger the odor, the higher the chances of winning.
Hygiene Negligence: Contestants will be evaluated on their regular bag cleaning habits and overall hygiene negligence. The level of uncleanliness will be factored into the judging process.
Creativity: Additional points will be awarded to contestants who incorporate creative methods to make their entry stand out, such as humorous explanations or artistic depictions.
The panel of judges will review all eligible entries received before the deadline.
The judges will deliberate and select the top three hockey bags based on the evaluation criteria.
The winner will be announced at the Stratford Fighting Irish Game Day Opener located at the Allman Arena on Saturday, October 21st. If the winner is not present, they will be notified via email or phone call on October 23rd.
